Who are we?
Established in 2012, the Grenada Veterans Of Foreign Services (GVOFS), is a non-profit 501(c)3 Organization dedicated to increasing sustainable financial support and literacy through education, and economic opportunity for “At Risk Students” throughout the Parishes of Grenada.
Vision
To ensure all “At Risk Grenadians” are supported with educational supplies, medical, sports- support and social welfare. Our proactive stance--providing financial support and literacy through education, and advocating higher learning--this may not end the epidemic of joblessness on a macro level, but can pave the way for becoming competitive on a local or global scale.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support “At Risk Students” in the various schools and communities within the Parishes of Grenada, by supplying educational tools, medical aids, sports and social welfare.
GVOFS Accomplishes Its Mission through a Four Point Plan
- Advocacy: Advocate nationally- to develop programs that reduce barriers to literacy in the local communities.
- Community Outreach: Foster responsible relationship within the local school communities by providing assistance to selective students through donationof scholarships, Computers, Laptops and school supplies.
- Professional Membership: Provide a place where like-minded professionals can share ideas, get resources and provided educational assistance to better serve our communities.
- Educational Support: Collaborate with organizations locally and internationallyin various sectors to support schools that are in dire need of assistance.
